Are you up for a little history?  Charleston, South Carolina is a beautiful place with lots to see and do.  It's about a 90 minute drive down Route 17.  A trip to the Welcome Center on Meeting Street is always a good place to start.  While you're driving around the city you'll notice there are no neon signs or McMansions because they're basically against the law.  Charleston is very historic and they'd like to keep it that way which is nice.
